2000年4月4日，海勒住進(jìn)泰美寶法腫瘤醫(yī)院，我親自給她診療，首先給她做了全面的查體，查體結(jié)果是：卡氏評(píng)分（Karnofsky功能狀態(tài)評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)）50分，腹水征（＋）。超聲檢查（B超）顯示，肝左葉見4cm×4cm腫塊，肝右葉見5cm×5cm及3cm×3cm兩個(gè)腫塊。腹水細(xì)胞學(xué)檢查，找到癌細(xì)胞。

2012年3月3日，我在濟(jì)南腫瘤醫(yī)院正忙著，突然北京協(xié)和醫(yī)學(xué)院的陸莉娜老師來電：“保法，國(guó)務(wù)院安成信副秘書長(zhǎng)正在濟(jì)南軍區(qū)總醫(yī)院做64排的計(jì)算機(jī)斷層掃描（CT），今天下午他可能找您會(huì)診。他患肝癌已經(jīng)一年了，現(xiàn)在肝區(qū)疼痛。”我當(dāng)時(shí)沒當(dāng)個(gè)事兒，心想：這么大的官，找我看病的少，現(xiàn)在還在大醫(yī)院檢查著，一般不會(huì)來我醫(yī)院吧。

到了下午3點(diǎn)多鐘，醫(yī)院真的來了一幫人，十幾個(gè)，還有幾個(gè)先去病房參觀了。副秘書長(zhǎng)是一位又瘦又高、戴著眼鏡、文質(zhì)彬彬的人，在簡(jiǎn)單地寒暄了幾句后，就直奔主題。我打開電腦一五一十地匯報(bào)，講解我的“緩釋庫(kù)療法”發(fā)明，以及其原理和療效。這一行人中有幾個(gè)可能是領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的保健醫(yī)生，在仔細(xì)地聽取我的講述的同時(shí)，還不停地問這問那，提出的問題都挺專業(yè)。
