Prolonged (持久的) eye contact is a sign of confidence and attentiveness (用心) in most Western countries. “眼神交流”，是我們與別人交流的第一步。在大部分西方國家，持久的眼神交流是一種“自信”和“用心”的標志。 However, in many African, Asian and Latin American countries, unbroken eye contact can be seen as confrontational (對抗的) or even aggressive. 然而，對許多非洲、亞洲和拉丁美洲的國家來說，過長時間的眼神交流可以被視為是一種“敵意”，甚至是“咄咄逼人”的。
Hand gestures 手勢 An innocent hand gesture in one country could get you arrested in another. Using the “OK” sign with your thumb (拇指) and index finger (食指) is not OK in Brazil, Greece, Spain or Turkey. 在某些國家，你可能會因為一個無意中的手勢被捕。“OK”手勢，在巴西、希臘、西班牙和土耳其等國家是不能用的！ And if you want to tell someone they did a good job in Greece or the Middle East, do not use the thumbs-up sign. And in most of Asia, curling (彎曲) your index finger to beckon (招手示意) someone over is fine for dogs, but not for people – especially in the Philippines, where you could be punished under the law. 在希臘或者一些中東國家，想夸獎別人的時候，不要用豎起大拇指的手勢哦！對大部分亞洲國家的人來說，勾起你的食指，讓別人過來是不禮貌的——尤其是在菲律賓，你甚至會受到法律的懲罰！
